These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VibeCheck mobile application ("App") and the website at vibecheck.app ("Website"), operated by VibeCheck ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Description of Service

VibeCheck is an AI-powered generational language translation app. It allows users to translate text and speech between generational styles (Gen Alpha, Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X, and Boomer) and explore a dictionary of generational slang terms.

Eligibility

The App is intended for users of all ages. You do not need to create an account or provide any personal information to use the App. An anonymous identifier is assigned automatically upon first use.

Free and Paid Features

Free Tier

New users receive a limited number of free translation credits and a daily free translation allowance. Cached translations (previously translated phrases) are always free.

In-App Purchases

Additional translation credits and premium features (such as voice input) are available for purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All purchases are processed by Apple or Google and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies.

Refunds

Since purchases are processed by Apple and Google, refund requests must be directed to the respective app store. We do not process refunds directly.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App to generate illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or objectionable content
• Attempt to circumvent the credit system, rate limits, or any other usage restrictions
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
• Use the App for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App for users who violate these Terms.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, AI models, dictionary content, and branding, is owned by VibeCheck and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent. Translations generated by the App are provided for your personal use.

AI-Generated Content

Translations are generated by artificial intelligence and may not always be perfectly accurate. VibeCheck provides translations for entertainment, educational, and communication purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any translation. You use translations at your own discretion.

User Content

When you submit text for translation, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, cache, and store that text for the purpose of providing and improving the translation service. We do not claim ownership of your input text.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VibeCheck shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
